Alex McKenna – Chief Executive Officer
Alex has extensive experience in healthcare and senior management across the public, private and not for profit sectors. Having qualified as a registered nurse in London in 2002, Alex specialised in oncology and palliative care services with a background in clinical research. Following a move to Australia in 2011, Alex has worked in cancer service development, palliative care, community health and executive management in aged care.
Nathan Willoughby – Chief Operating Officer
Nathan is an experienced executive in both public and private not for profit health and aged care. A registered nurse for over 30 years and more than 20 years of management experience, Nathan’s passion for aged care has been infectious which has seen the focus of the teams he leads to be compassionate person-centred care at all times. He is a Victorian 2017 Public Sector Residential Aged Care (PSRAC) Leadership Award finalist and has led 6 residential services through successful re-accreditation. Nathan continues to develop his broad knowledge in all aspects of the Aged Care sector and looks forward to contributing to the ongoing success of Cooinda.
Emma Williamson, Executive Manager, Clinical Care
Emma is a registered nurse experienced in acute hospital settings, general practice, Aged Care Assessment Service and Aged Care management roles. Emma specialises in Gerontology and has completed a Master of Health Administration. Emma is a Murray Primary Health Network Community Advisory Council member and manages Cooinda’s Care Team and clinical management.
Julie Folan – Executive Manager, Quality & Compliance
Julie is responsible for Quality Improvement and Industry benchmarking. By doing so we ensure processes are in place to maintain our high accreditation standards at all times. Julie is also manages admissions and is Cooinda’s first point of contact for resident and family questions.
David Morrow – Executive Manager, Building & Environment
David, in consultation with the board, manages the design, procurement and commissioning of major capital works, extensions and maintenance. He also oversees the management of the independent living units and general grounds maintenance across the Cooinda site.
