Care Staff

Meet our Care Staff

We have a team of over 80 qualified and experienced nurses and personal care assistants.  Each of our care staff members undertake annual training to ensure you receive the latest care available.

Rebecca Binion – Clinical Care Coordinator / Clinical Educator

I have worked at Cooinda for 3 years as the Clinical Educator and job share role of Clinical Coordinator. I have been nursing for 16 years and I am passionate about my job. I spent the first 12 years of my career as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Intensive Care and more recently moved into Aged Care, both roles have involved Education. Cooinda is truly the most caring and loving environment. It prides me immensely to know that I aid in providing the best quality individual care to our residents that one can offer. All of our staff love and care for our residents like family and that is what makes Cooinda special. This is more than a nursing home – it is their home and we are here to support and nurture the needs of every individual person. I am passionate about further education and the up-skilling our staff to keep up with relevant changes and ensuring best practice.

Jessica Stocker – Endorsed Enrolled Nurse
I find working in aged care such a rewarding job as I am able to not only provide one on one care and assistance to our residents, but have the opportunity to build a strong rapport with each resident and personalise their care to meet their individual needs. I have a passion for working in our memory support wing at Cooinda, I really enjoy building that rapport with the residents in all different ways through all types of activities, cares and social engagements. I really enjoy providing exercises and activities indoors and outdoors for our residents that stimulate the brain in all different ways, such as cooking, cleaning, sorting, moving exercises, decorating and much more. I find this very important across all aged care but especially for our memory support wing. I believe providing activities and one on one care not only allows for interaction, engagement and a sense of belonging for our residents but it will assist those living with dementia, making it easier and a peaceful journey.
