Alex McKenna
Chief Executive Officer

Alex has extensive experience in healthcare and senior management across the public, private and not for profit sectors. Having qualified as a registered nurse in London in 2002, Alex specialised in oncology and palliative care services with a background in clinical research. Following a move to Australia in 2011, Alex has worked in cancer service development, palliative care, community health and executive management in aged care.

Emma Williamson
Executive Manager, Clinical Care

Emma is a registered nurse experienced in acute hospital settings, general practice, Aged Care Assessment Service and Aged Care management roles. Emma specialises in Gerontology and has completed a Master of Health Administration.  Emma is a Murray Primary Health Network Community Advisory Council member and manages Cooinda’s Care Team and clinical

Ryan Claxton
Finance Manager

Ryan plays a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health Cooinda. He is responsible for managing budgets, forecasting financial trends, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. His meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach ensure that Cooinda can effectively allocate funds to enhance the quality of care for its residents while maintaining financial stability.

Daniel Whipps
Building Services Manager

Daniel oversees the Building Services, Maintenance and Gardens. He is responsible for managing the design, procurement and commissioning of major capital works, extensions and maintenance. He also oversees the renovation of the independent living units and general grounds maintenance across the Cooinda site.

Kara Taggert
ICT & Hotel Services Manager

Kara oversees the implementation of IT systems, ensuring that technological resources are reliable and support the organisation’s operational needs. Simultaneously, Kara manages hotel services, which includes overseeing catering, laundry and cleaning staff and ensures a high standard of dining for residents.

Alanna Burnell
Human Resources Coordinator

Alanna oversees and manages all human resources functions at Cooinda, including recruitment, interviews, documentation, and administrative tasks. Her role ensures smooth operations and effective HR support across the organisation.

Tiffany Walsh
Quality Coordinator

Tiffany plays a crucial role in ensuring that the facility adheres to regulatory standards and maintains high-quality care for our residents. Her responsibilities include implementing compliance measures, conducting regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement, ensuring that Cooinda consistently meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.
